DiaGlocal Collective Launches Investment-Readiness Programme for African Diaspora Founders

London-based DiaGlocal Collective is inviting applications from founders of African descent for its next investment-readiness programme, offering early-stage entrepreneurs a structured route to prepare their businesses for investor scrutiny.

Applications for the Q1 2027 cohort close on 19 October 2026, with the programme scheduled to begin on 26 October. The 12-week online programme is open to founders at the ideation and pre-seed stages, both in Africa and across the diaspora. Participants are expected to present their businesses to investors at a demo day scheduled for 10 February 2027.

The programme focuses on a common challenge for early-stage businesses: translating a promising idea or early traction into the financial records, commercial evidence and documentation investors need to assess an investment opportunity.

Participants will work on their business models, financial planning, execution milestones and fundraising preparation. The programme also includes access to experienced advisers, weekly accountability and the development of a structured digital data room containing information investors can examine during due diligence.

At the end of the programme, selected founders will pitch to DiaGlocal Collective’s network of investors and ecosystem partners, which includes angel networks, syndicates, funds and accelerators. The organisation says its approach is designed to help founders demonstrate business progress and substantiate their claims with evidence, rather than rely on pitch decks alone.

The opportunity is open to founders of African descent regardless of whether they are based in the UK, elsewhere in the diaspora or on the continent. This gives UK-based African entrepreneurs and founders building across borders a route to prepare for investor conversations while developing their businesses.

However, participation should not be confused with a funding award. DiaGlocal Collective says it verifies investment readiness and facilitates introductions to investors, but investment decisions remain with individual investors and depend on their criteria, available capital and assessment of each venture. The organisation does not guarantee that participants will raise money.

For founders considering an application, the immediate deadline is 19 October 2026.

Full programme details and the application form are available on the DiaGlocal Collective website.
